Wrap Up: January 2022

Happy 2022, y'all! Here's hoping that we can finally bring this pandemic closer to an end this year - it's about time!!

This year I'm repeating my reading goal of 100 books - including audiobooks, graphic novels, poetry books, etc. Books are books, no matte the format!! My aim was to read 10 books in January to get me off to a good start, and I hit 10 exactly! Last year I started picking at least one non-fiction selection a month to listen to and I want to continue that again - audiobooks are becoming my favorite way to get in some educational content!

On to the January Wrap Up:

NOVELS

  • The Siren of Sussex by Mimi Matthews ⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Bad Luck Bridesmaid by Alison Rose Greenberg ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • The Midnight Library by Matt Haig ⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • How to Love Your Neighbor by Sophie Sullivan ⭐⭐⭐

  • Good Girl Complex by Elle Kennedy ⭐⭐⭐

  • A Lady's Formula for Love by Elizabeth Everett ⭐⭐⭐⭐

NON-FICTION & MEMOIRS

  • Open Book by Jessica Simpson ⭐⭐⭐⭐

GRAPHIC NOVELS

  • Lumberjanes Vol. 4 by Noelle Stevenson ⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Lumberjanes Vol. 5 by Noelle Stevenson ⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Heartstopper Vol 4. by Alice Oseman ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Favorite of the Month: Bad Luck Bridesmaid was my surprise favorite of the month. I've said it before, but the title and the cover are a bit disconnected from the actual story - I went in expecting a light rom-com and instead got a fantastic story about living live on your own terms and letting people go when love isn't enough.
