Women: A Novella by Chloe Caldwell
160 pages | Published by Harper Perennial

The Set Up: A young writer moves to the city and falls in love with a woman for the first time.
After reading the forward and some of the promotional copy, I was expecting a groundbreaking and deeply impactful story, so I was a little let down when this didn’t quite deliver that.
I liked the fragmented vignettes we got of these women and their relationship, but not all of them made sense to me. While I can appreciate the characters as messy humans, I didn’t really understand what, if anything, their relationship was founded on.
As a short read this was fine for me, it just didn’t live up to the hype I saw going in.
