While We Were Dating
Jasmine Guillory
336 pages | Published by Berkley
When Ben meets movie star Anna on the ad campaign he's leading, they have an instant connection. To help advance her career, Ben agrees to be her fake boyfriend but the more they pretend, the more real their relationship feels.
Jasmine Guillory can do no wrong in my book. I am sad though this is probably our last look at this universe. I've loved every character she's written, starting with The Wedding Date.
This was light and swoony and full of Hollywood glamour but not without a dose of reality. Anna's problems felt real and relatable and considering she's a famous actress, that didn't have to be the case.
Ben's sibling story was interesting but felt underdeveloped to me - like he needed to bring it up and talk to someone about it much earlier in the book. I mostly forgot about it while I was reading.
