The Set Up: The Set Up: In college, Anna married her friend’s brother, Liam, so she could snag a deal on subsidized family housing. Now, she’s a starving artist in desperate need of money when Liam returns. To her surprise, not only are they not actually divorced, but he’s also willing to pay her to attend a family wedding so they can convince his parent’s they’re a real happy couple in order to receive his inheritance.

This wasn’t my favorite, but it was a great summer read, as most of Christina Lauren’s books are. It was beachy and decently steamy, and it was a fun fish out of water story about rich people behaving badly. The difference in the ways that money motivated everyone was really interesting.

I didn’t love the main character, she came across a bit close to manic pixie dream girl for me, but overall it was a quick read and it was fun to imagine myself onto a luxurious beach.
