Henry "Monty" Montague, his best friend/secret crush Percy, and his sister Felicity set off for what is supposed to be a simple trip: Drop Felicity off at school, and then Monty & Percy begin their year-long tour of Europe. After a disastrous visit at Versailles, the three suddenly find themselves being chased across the continent by a disgruntled Duke.

Not sure if it's the current coronavirus quarantine that put me in a reading slump, but this took me much longer to get through than I had anticipated.

I really thought Monty's growth over the course of the book was great - I really disliked him at first, which to be fair is kind of the point. Another thing I loved: Percy & Monty. Can't get enough of that will-they-won't-they tension.

BIG fan of Felicity - I know there's a second book following her and I do look forward to that one. I loved her confidence and her secret knowledge of medicine.

Overall though, this felt super anti-climatic to me. I wanted to give this more than three stars but I never really felt the action pick up any momentum to make this a real page-turner. It was fun and a good read, but it still fell a little flat to me.
