The Friend Zone Abby Jimenez

384 pages | Published by Forever

Kristen, the maid of honor in her friend's wedding, meets the best man Josh, and they become close friends, fast, with maybe something more. The problem: Kristen has a long-distance boyfriend. Another problem: Josh has made it known he wants an entire brood of kids, and Kristen is preparing for a medically necessary hysterectomy.

LOVED THIS BOOK! I think I hadn't picked it up yet because when I hear "friend zone" I think of men complaining that a woman has no romantic interest in them but this story was SO much deeper than that. Highly recommend. A warning though, it does deal with infertility and loss so, read with care.

Josh is a dream. Honestly, how can you not like Josh? Just another one to add to my list of favorite book boyfriends. He was warm and funny and caring and just all-around deserving of a heart-eyes emoji. I loved Kristen's honesty and practicality. Sometimes it made me want to yell at her, but her thoughts and reservations were totally valid.

The book was a JOURNEY from start to finish, let me tell ya. There were things that I absolutely did not see coming and I appreciate that from a romance.
