After stopping the apocalypse, Luke and Callie are excited to finally settle into their new life together, go on a real date, and also re-work the policies of Hell. They want the chance to offer the damned a second chance. Lucifer agrees to test this change by giving them the chance to redeem one particular person, which sends them on an around-the-world chase.

I was so excited to get a sequel to Not Your Average Hot Guy but unfortunately it just didn't do it for me. The fun banter and Luke's charm were all there, but overall the story just did not grab me.

What I did really like was the introduction of the Arthurian legend. I thought that was a fun tie in to add a new element to the around the world chase.

Overall I just don't think the story warranted a whole book - I think this could have been a really fun novella as a bonus to revisit the characters. We needed more world building or maybe a perspective shift to one of the new characters to really nail this one.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Griffin for the review copy!
