The Set Up: Charlie’s family spell shop is struggling to make ends meet when Fitz, a mage, moves into town and becomes her competitor. Charlie is determined to save her family business and stay clear of Fitz. When strange and magical events start to threaten the town, the two have to work together to find the source of the problems.

This book is the epitome of a warm hug. A cozy and witchy romance with a bit of a mystery thrown in, plus it’s obviously inspired by You’ve Got Mail. The town and larger cast of characters had a Gilmore Girls feel.

Fitz and Charlie had great chemistry and I thought that Charlie’s imposter syndrome was really relatable. I loved the dialogue throughout - not just the banter between Fitz and Charlie. Every conversation felt fun and witty, but still real and believable.

I definitely recommend this one if you want a cozy fantasy this fall!
