The Set Up: After an uncharacteristic one night stand, Eve finds herself expecting a baby. But when she tells her best friend, her reaction is less than enthusiastic. Instead, it’s her friend’s brother Shep that sticks by her side. Suddenly Eve is noticing Shep in a way that she never has before, and questioning what she wants from life.

As a woman in her thirties, I was very intrigued by this one. It’s a fast paced and heartwarming story overall, with a very conversational writing style.

I really liked all of the characters, and they all had such different and unique reactions to the situation at hand. There were great moments that explored female friendship fertility struggles.

The star of the show for me (obviously) was Shep. He was a quiet presence from the beginning, but the slow shift in their relationship was so satisfying.
