Not in Love moodboard

The Set Up: Rue is a biotech engineer, and fiercely loyal to her company and its founder. When Eli and his firm swoop in to take over the company, Rue is suspicious of their motives, despite the clear attraction between the two of them.

I ate this book up!!! Not surprised, Ali Hazelwood hasn’t missed yet in my opinion (she’s writing absolute simps and I cannot get enough).

As always, Ali weaves a captivating romance within the world of academia and science and the revenge plotline added an exciting layer to the story.

Ali continues to write unique and seemingly neurodivergent characters with complex histories. I adored Rue and Eli together, and how candid they were with each other from the beginning. Eli's ability to truly SEE and understand Rue was so heartwarming.

The disclaimer at the beginning of the book was no joke - this book definitely leans more towards erotic romance than rom-com, but I appreciate that she did not abandon story and plot in favor of spice.
