More Than Enough Elaine Welteroth

336 pages | Published by Viking

Elaine Welteroth is a game-changing icon of my generation. The youngest editor in chief in Conde Nast history, Elaine elevated the style and beauty space of Teen Vogue by bringing in social and political discussions, recognizing that young people, young girls especially, need and want to have their voices heard.

I LOVE ELAINE!! If you're not following her and her career, grab this book and give her a follow on Instagram (and look at her stoop wedding pics because I guarantee they will make you smile and want to party on the streets of NYC). Not only does she feel incredibly real and down to earth, but she is ambitious and inspiring.

There are a ton of great nuggets of wisdom to be found (especially from her conversation with Ava DuVernay) but the one that stuck with me was "When the world tells you to shrink - expand."

This was a great audiobook - hearing the story in Elaine's voice helped bring out her personality, and there's a really cute chat at the end between Elaine and her parents about the book and their perspective on her stories.
