How to Love Your Neighbor Sophie Sullivan
352 pages | Published by St. Martin's Griffin
Grace has finally moved in to the beach house she's inherited from the grandparents she never knew. Finishing up design school, she's excited to start her career as an interior designer and finally be living life on her own terms, not her mom's. But her neighbor, real estate developer Noah, wants her out of the house - so he can buy it and make the entire property into his dream beach house.
This book has given me ALL the home design inspiration! It was like reading your favorite HGTV show, plus a slow burn romance.
Noah and Grace had a lot of great banter as feuding neighbors, and I just wanted to shake them both and yell about how similar they were! Both of them were dealing with parents who wanted to steamroll their lives, and I was especially interested in Grace's relationship with her mom. It was great to see how Grace's response to her mom changed from the beginning to end.
This was a super light and cute closed-door romance but I'm giving three stars because at the end of the book, things wrapped up a bit too quickly for me, with some plot lines still hanging, like Noah's relationship with the basketball kids - I would have loved to see a bit more out of those relationships.
Thanks to NetGalley & St. Martin's Griffin for the advanced e-book!
