Former elite gymnast Avery just moved back to her hometown after a rough few years dealing with the end of her gymnastics career and Olympic dreams. She gets a call from an old acquaintance, Ryan, who wants Avery's help to coach a gymnast with serious Olympic potential. Avery and Ryan definitely have feelings for each other, but after some scandals in the gymnastics world, their trust in each other is put to the test.

The cute gymnastics romance of my dreams! I have fond memories of doing gymnastics as a kid and have always admired those who make it to the Olympics for their skills. I really felt for Avery as she struggled to make sense of what her life should look like now that her dreams were seemingly out of reach.

I loved the spark between Ryan and Avery immediately, although I could have used a bit more of a slow-burn, but I feel like this wasn't SO focused on their relationship as it was the overall message of believing survivors of abuse. The end felt a bit rushed to me but I loved the conclusion and where we leave all of the characters - it was a super satisfying ending.

This was sweet and heartwarming and had me in a gymnastics frame of mind, which inspired me to watch Athlete A on Netflix which is NOT sweet and heartwarming but a fantastic documentary on the real-world scandals of USA Gymnastics - definitely recommend.
