The Set Up: Former child star Fiona left her humiliating past behind and is determined to keep her privacy intact. Sam, her former co-star, thrives on his Hollywood fame and needs her to sign on for a reboot of their hit show. Fiona agrees to meet up with him, and sparks fly as they reconnect. But Fiona’s past still holds secrets, and their budding romance is threatened when Sam learns the real story behind her breakdown.

This book is for the 2000’s girlies that grew up watching the Mileys and Lindsays of the world. The story shows the darker, not-so-glamorous side of Hollywood with all its schemers and predators. It’s a great reminder of how exploitative tabloid culture can be, and how none of us know the full story of others lives, especially those in the public eye.

I’ve been a big fan of Katie Cotugno’s YA books and I really hope she continues in the adult fiction space! I thought the ending felt a tad rushed, but Fiona and Sam had great chemistry right from the start, even though it had been years since they’d interacted.
