A Season for Second Chances

Jenny Bayliss 448 pages | Published by G.P. Putnam's Sons

After finding her husband cheating on her, again, Annie picks up and moves into a seaside home - which is supposed to be temporary. Against the wishes of her handsome and grumpy landlord, John, Annie begins to make the place her own.

Jenny Bayliss is the queen of cozy reads and making you feel right at home in these quaint little towns. The entire little town of Willow Bay sounded like a dream, and I could see myself making it my home right along with Annie.

The stars of the show were Annie's new book club friends - what an eccentric bunch - especially Meave. I think it's a special talent to make you feel so familiar with side characters, and Jenny Bayliss does it SO well.

I really liked Annie and John's relationship - when we finally got to it. That was the major drawback for me. We don't meet John in person until nearly 200 pages in, which made the beginning feel a bit slow to me.
