A Court of Mist & Fury (ACOTAR #2) Sarah J. Maas 626 pages | Published by Bloomsbury
Free from Under the Mountain, Feyre is back in the Spring Court with Tamlin and planning their wedding - but she's miserable. As she's silently begging to be saved from her misery, Rhysand appears to make good on their bargain - that she spends one week a month with him for eternity. Rhys takes her to the Night Court where she begins to heal from her trauma and learn to live as the new immortal that she is.
Okay, now I get the Rhysand hype. I GET IT. I was never a huge fan of Tamlin to begin with but now I'm fully on board with the rest of the fandom now.
I absolutely love the Night Court and Rhysand's inner circle. I cannot wait to learn more about them as I get through the rest of the books. Something I appreciate about Maas is that she always includes a fierce female friendship - Feyre and Mor are it in this series. Love the two of them.
As steamy and fun as this book is, I appreciate it much more for its focus on Feyre's healing. It would be too easy to just move on from her major trauma in the first book and say "well she's Fae now so she's all good!" but we get a real acknowledgment of the hardships Feyre has been through.
Bring on the next book, please!!
